Two of the most common oral health problems are tooth decay and gum disease, meaning that it\u2019s worth being vigilant for these problems in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best thing to do is to detect these issues early before decay becomes cavities and inflammation becomes periodontitis. You should talk to your dentist about the state of these conditions at your next checkups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Should I Talk to my Doctor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your mouth is connected to the rest of your body in all kinds of interesting ways. As a medical professional, your dentist can notice signs of vitamin deficiencies, heart problems, bone disease, and diabetes in your mouth.
